Education
Karie graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Jazz Composition. During her studies, she excelled academically, earning multiple scholarships and Dean’s List honors, as well as the prestigious Benny Golson Achievement Award. She studied jazz composition under Grammy-winning artist Bijon Watson and renowned musician Brian Landrus.
Musical Talent & Career
Began classical piano training at age 6 and performed her first solo concert at 10.
As a pianist, she has performed at major international events, including the Boston National Poetry Festival, Guangzhou International Arts Festival, and the 60th Anniversary of Sino-French Diplomatic Relations, collaborating with world-class artists such as Brian Landrus, Steve Hunt, and others.
As a composer, she has created music for films, TV series, and commercials, including the Australian short film The Undercover Heiress, the Chinese series Journey of the Earth, and the movie Black and White Underworld.
Recent Achievements
2024: Held a solo jazz composition concert in Boston, became an instructor at TUTTI Music School in New York, and was appointed Artistic Director of the Daai Zin Heung Cantonese Choir.
2025: Performed an original piano recital at New York City Hall’s annual gala, winning the Annual Talent Award and receiving media coverage in New York.
Karie continues to expand her musical horizons, contributing unique and innovative works to the global music scene.
